I have been a pediatric OT for over 20 years; prior to that I taught elementary school. I have always loved the area of child development and working with children who need assistance with their development.

I have worked with children from birth through their late teens, with everything from mild coordination difficulties to more complex, multi-faceted disabilities. Collaboration with the parent and other team members is imperative for carryover of strategies and techniques that will allow the child to make the most progress. Most recently I have been trained in CIMT and working with several children with hemiplegia, doing both intensives and pre- and post-intensive follow up sessions to support specific muscle development.

Every child's therapy is individualized; each child will respond to treatment techniques in unique ways. It's important to get information and help with problem solving the underlying issues and what works for each child. My experience across treatment areas (including complex needs as well as extensive experience in the area of sensory processing and integration), and in various practice settings (private practice, large clinics, hospital, and school-based therapies) allows me to have insight into what may be the best treatment plan for a child.

I additionally have extensive experience with telepractice and have had very successful sessions with this format.
